      Description

The coolant pressure inside the engine block can reach 70+psi at high rpm before the thermostat fully opens. This will cause a corroded frost plug to leak. The BD rear frost plug is able to be seal the leak without the need to hammer out the old frost plug. We recommend installing the rear frost plug plate when the transmission is removed. The plate can be installed with the transmission in place, however the surface finish on the back of the motor is critical and must be checked prior to use.Whether its for a full rebuild or some standard maintenance, the proper engine components are needed to make sure your vehicle is running smooth.Keep your car's components and accessories held together and looking nice with a quality set of hardware. The BD name became recognized in 1989, when the company introduced the first exhaust brake for the burgeoning Diesel pick-up truck market. BD's roots, however, actually date back to 1972, when Valley Fuel Injection Ltd. first opened its doors. Today, Valley Fuel Injection (now BD Diesel Truck Service & Performance Center) and BD Diesel Performance are one, with specialty divisions that focus on Diesel power train components.
