Holds up on tracks. Great so far

I did 6 piston brake upgrade on my Mustang and first I went with cheaper set from Rockauto. They failed and got worpped after one track day. Then I decided to spend some more money and give these a try. I did 3 track days already and they are still going strong. Completely changed my braking experience. My car stops like a supercar. I recommend this for people who track their cars, don't waste time and money and don't cheap out. You need this!

I finally junked the cracked drilled/slotted rotors that were on the car when I bought it, feel great to have safe breaks again! I put 4 all around, but only got the rears from here, was going to do a ctsv 6pot conversion on the front but glad I ended up just putting these on my oem fronts too!

I purchased these puppies with the front drilled and slotted pair. And let me tell you, these things look gorgeous! The black inner finish is such a subtle but perfect touch with my black RTR rims I couldn’t have been happier. Had these installed by a shop so I didn’t personally break them in. When I picked up my car I heard no squeaking. However, just recently I have had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing rust forming in areas where it seems the rotors were not coated. And occasionally I have a pretty bad squeak when breaking. Haven’t been able to locate the problem. And i won’t dock points from the product until I figure out if it’s my new brake pads or the rotors. Just something to be aware of!

More than meets the eye

I got my pair from lmr when the ones that came on my car when I bought it were worn past the pads and into the metal. I paired this with ebc bluestuff pads and the first thing I noticed was that the slots helped in rainy conditions. My tires didn’t lock up as easily (no abs) and I’ve been able to push it harder. My car has been strictly street driven but I push it when I find the time. Rotors and pads are a good combo and is marketed as “leaving no grooves on rotor” which I’m guessing means no resurfacing between pad sets. Bluestuff pads are the second highest race set that ebc sells, and are the last of the “street driven” grade because they can bring you to a COMPLETE stop. This combo can outperform 13” plain cobra rotors with regular pads any day. Save your money and have fun racing. -B. Turruviate Racing
