Designed for Improved Airflow. The Mishimoto License Plate Relocation Kit moves the front license plate away from the center of the bumper, enhancing airflow to the intercooler and radiator. This relocation reduces wind resistance and helps maintain optimal cooling efficiency, which is important for both performance and daily driving. The kit provides a streamlined solution to an otherwise obstructive accessory.

Construction and Appearance. Made from high-strength 6061 aluminum with aluminum 3A21 brackets and a 6061 shaft, the kit is built for durability and longevity. The anodized black shaft combined with the powder-coated black plate bracket ensures a corrosion-resistant and visually appealing finish that complements the vehicle’s design.

Installation. Installation difficulty is rated medium and requires drilling to modify the fog light housing using the provided drilling template. The kit mounts securely to the OEM front tow hook location and includes all necessary hardware and instructions for an accurate fit.

Application. This kit is designed specifically for the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Si and Type R models. Installation on vehicles equipped with Honda Sensing or Adaptive Cruise Control requires mounting on the passenger side. Additionally, some trimming may be necessary on certain non-Si or Type R models to fully access the tow hook area.
