F.F. Screw Products started in 1973 as a part-time job shop operation with one employee in a 1,000 square-foot building. Within four years, it changed to a full-time operation with ten employees. In 1982, after years of doing job shop components for many large companies, F.F. Screw Products started making product, which then began FK Bearings. At that time, both F.F. Screw Products and FK Bearings were operating in two separate buildings that were approximately 36,000 square feet combined.
