• Industry-first diaphragm design - the WGA's Silicone/Nomex diaphragm uses a new bead retention design that achieves the largest effective area with the smallest possible outside diameter. This keeps the overall size of the WGA down whilst giving it more control authority over the wastegate flap, resulting in better boost control. It's like telling your turbo what to do instead of pleading with it!
• Longest stroke - with 18mm of rod travel, the WGA is suitable for controlling the largest of internal wastegates, or the extra travel can be used to further increase boost pressure without having to change springs.
• Unique pivoting rod guide - machined from PEEK (an extremely high-performance engineering polymer), the encapsulated spherical rod guide takes up significantly less height in the actuator body than other designs, whilst offering low friction and superior wear resistance.
• No unnecessary bulk - sounds obvious, but attention to detail in the design means the WGA is the shortest actuator on the market.

More Adjustable, More Easily.

Setting the base spring pressure correctly for your application can have significant performance benefits, so we made sure the WGA offers the best adjustability on the market!

We supply 3 stainless steel springs that can be used in any combination ranging from 5psi to 22psi, but that's only the beginning. Whilst other brands may offer more spring options (sold separately), changing springs to fine-tune boost pressure is time consuming and quite frankly, a pain.

That's why we added another industry first - turnbuckle adjustment. The long stroke of the WGA means more adjustment range for the spring pre-load, so you can fine-tune your base boost pressure in a matter of minutes without swapping springs or removing the actuator.

From the very beginning of my career, I've learnt that it's amazing where tinkering can take you.

I've been engineering for 35 years, including 10 years manufacturing components for the automotive market including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). I've been determined to push the limits of high performance engines since I was tinkering with my Mini Cooper S in the '80s.

When I bought my WRX in 1997, I decided to step it up a knotch and get serious. At first, I bought components 'off the shelf'. Most of these were expensive and imported. Indeed, this was true for the Australian-made ones too. Nothing, however, came even close to the quality I knew they should be, as they were made of inferior materials and of generally poor workmanship, and did not give me the performance gains I was looking for.

So I started designing, testing and developing "GO FAST BITS", a range of innovative and high-quality blow-off valves, boost controllers, pulley kits and short shifters. These products, unlike what was previously available, were meticulously designed and manufactured from the highest grade materials, working the way they were designed to.

Performance should not be about compromise - parts should fit correctly and deliver real performance outcomes, without making the car difficult to live with on a daily basis. GFB now has three qualified engineers (mechanical and mechatronic), and a team of dedicated enthusistic & passionate individuals who make the GFB name what it is today.
