      Description

      Direct Replacement Upgrade Options. These LED boards and bulbs provide a bright, efficient alternative to original incandescent trunk lights for the Ford Focus RS. The HP3 and HP5 options offer direct 194 bulb replacements with plug-and-play installation, delivering increased output and a modern LED appearance. The SMD12 board is a panel-style option with higher lumen output but is not a direct bulb replacement and may not fit inside the factory housing without modifications or adapters.

      Construction and Appearance. The HP3 uses Samsung LEDs with an omnidirectional lens, while the HP5 includes high-power LEDs with copper heatsinking for improved heat dissipation and reliability. The SMD12 panel features twelve 5050-size SMD LEDs on a rectangular board designed for brightness but limited housing compatibility. All options ensure consistent color temperature and brightness for improved trunk illumination.

      Installation. Installation of the HP3 and HP5 bulbs is straightforward with no modifications needed—simply replace the factory 194 bulbs. The SMD12 board requires adapters and may not fit inside the stock housing. Using a non-marring trim tool is recommended for easy insertion and removal of bulbs. No drilling or cutting is needed for the direct replacement options.
