      Description

      A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow to your engine, and provides a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. These systems are paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. A custom heat shield helps protect intake air from the high temperature of your engine bay, and the entire system can typically be installed in less than 60 minutes. Some intakes are not legal for sale or use on any pollution controlled motor vehicle in California. See the product specifications for CARB status on each part for a specific vehicle.

      We often recommend upgrading your OEM intake to a cold air intake as one of the first modification your should do to your car. Often times, the factory airbox is restricting.       Very easy installation, about 45 minutes. Everything matched up as described in instructions. Great sound on a 2004 Explorer 4.6 V8 with a series 50 muffler.

      take off

      Installation was a breeze, engine has a deep roar, take off and acceleration highly improved. Haven't really ever watched gas mileage, but it seems to be better as-well.

      K&N FIPK

      Freer breathing intake system really helps the V8 at higher RPM(above 3000)without a loss of lower RPM power. Plus it sounds very throaty under power without being obnoxious.

      millage & power

      iam getting about 1.3 to 1.5 gallons per gallon & a considerable amount of power. it is a little loud but i like that. the guys at K&N ARE ALWAYS GREAT WITH TECH SUPPORT & PART REPLACEMENT. PEOPLE AT AUTOEVERYTHING ARE VERY FAIR ON PRICE AS WELL

      Sounds Awesome

      Installed the cold air kit and the directions were right on, no problems, the air intake gives the engine a awesome sound and a deeper exhaust sound also, I have not noticed a increase in gas mileage but I am in Michigan and the winter gas is not the best for mileage
