Lets a LOT more Air In
Lets a LOT more Air In and now I use a lot less gas pedal. Took a hr or so to assemble, but actual install was quick and easy! Works even better with a Cat Back Exhaust system. Overall, a worth while investment!

99 explorer v6 4.0L OHV
Took about 45 minutes to install. Very easy project for those looking to improve performance. Also good for beginners. Directions were very detailed, accurate, and easy to follow.

The best upgrade so far!
I have been wanting this for a while but most everywhere I looked it was close to $400, I finally found a great deal here and ordered it. Box showed up a few days later and I pulled my truck into the garage and kicked on the radio. I had my old intake system out in a matter of about 15 minutes and was beginning the install of the new system. Installing it was very easy, except I didnt have the 11/16 bit for the hole fot the air temp sensor, but I got it drilled out another way. I finished installing the kit, rehooked up the battery and fired up my truck, backed out of the garage and went for a test drive. The overall sound was good and the increase of power was very good. I would reccommend this to anyone who wants a little more go. If you play in the dirt like I do then you should get the blue cover to keep out more of the dust.

2000 Ford Ranger K&N Cold Air Intake
I was very pleased with the overall performance of this system. Installation was quick and easy; the directions/pictures were very helpful. I noticed an immediate acceleration gain and my engine sounds quieter. I am noticing a steady increase in MPG after 2 refills; so far I have gained 2 MPGs---that's on a 4.0 4X4. In conclusion, excellent buy; I would recommend this system to anybody.

Ford Ranger
I am really excited with the performance of the new intake. It looks great and the stock system was so restrictive. However I am not thrilled with the kit. The heat shield does not seal off anything, and the holster bolted to the alternator does not fit tightly to hold the filter up. Overall the performance is great but I am little disappointed with the kit. I also did not have an 11/16 drill bit so I needed to improvise.

CLEAR THE AIR
This is the kind of project I love. A good kit, well designed, high quality. And very good, strtaightforward instructions. Clear, helpful pictures. The whole thing went together right the first try and the performance improvement is noticable. And the installed lifetime unit looks good too.

30 minute install
couldn't have been easier to put in. havn't had it in long enough to tell if mileage has improved significantly but off line performance certainly has.

B-4000
the air intake seems to be ok,but not sure if its the right one. My stock air intake was cone shape and the instruction said that it was for a flat type air filter. But I got it to fit ok anyway and seem to be working. I have more pickup and top end power.

Louis test
The kit was very easy to install, especially the pictures rather than just written instructions. Installed on a 2000 Ranger with a 4.0 engine & 5 spd. Way more responsive, I do a lot less down shifting. I find I'm using less gas in town, I have yet to calculate the difference but it is noticeable.
