Restores Original Performance. The KYB Shocks & Struts Excel-G Front Left is designed to restore vehicle stability, handling, and control to factory specifications. This product is vital for ensuring that electronic safety systems like stability control and automated braking function correctly. Construction and Appearance. The Excel-G features a nitrogen gas-charged twin-tube design with hand-assembled rebound and compression valves in a clean room environment to eliminate contamination. It includes an ultra-smooth triple chrome-plated piston rod to minimize seal wear and a multi-lip synthetic oil seal for durability. The strut body and brackets are the thickest and strongest in the industry to minimize flex and maintain wheel alignment. The piston incorporates a Teflon band for a secure seal within seamless extruded steel tubing.
Installation. Installation of the Excel-G Front Left shock or strut is straightforward for experienced technicians and does not typically require drilling or modification. It is a direct replacement part designed to fit OEM mounting points precisely.
Application. This shock and strut assembly fits the 2004 Impreza RS. There are no exclusions or special fitment notes for this model year and trim.
