Our new “Super Light” core radiator allows us to fit the largest possible heat exchanger without moving the position of the radiator fans. This is crucial for the Mazdaspeed Turbo models which already have tight clearances already. Our SL-Core radiator is designed to maintain maximum clearances while gaining subtle cooling benefits. Though it is not as thick as our typical radiators, we have reduced the fin distances to improve efficiency. Will this be enough for your 350hp fire breathing track only car? No. But for street driving and some mild HPDE days, it will be more than enough.Cooling is absolutely crucial during high performance driving. Maintained high load, high RPM instances dramatically increases heat produced by the engine requiring a lot more from the vehicle’s cooling system.Megan Racing Radiators are comprised completely of aluminum. From the tanks to the primary core. Aluminum tanks are a great upgrade over the plastic usually found on factory radiators which are known to crack and leak especially as they age. The larger heat exchanging core is not only more efficient at transferring heat from the coolant, but also increases total coolant carrying capacity.Designed to as a complete bolt-on application, Our radiators are designed to comply with factory components such as fans and A/C condensers however due to the slight increase in overall size.
