Quality of Life mod that works

I have about 1k miles on my 16 mustang since installing this. Depending on ambient air temps im seeing easily 10-15F less cylinder head temps. for example cruise control 75Mph im seeing steady 196F cylinder head temps when its 79F outside. If you really get on it and then drive normal it takes no time at all to take the heat out.

This cooler is solid. I have not installed it yet. I will report results but I expect it will perform very well.

Trans Cooler

Big improvement. Reduced transmission temperature about 15-20 degrees when towing travel trailer.

For about a month I monitored my transmission temperature through the digital gauge on the Dashboard and it averaged anywhere between 215 to about 219 Degrees.. This is without towing and driving at around 65 miles an hour with outside temperature 65°F. As of today, Wednesday, October 2nd while driving for about a good 30 minutes, the temperature gauge on the transmission display did not go above 200 Degrees Again, with no towing, temperature outside was around 60 to 62°F. I had this upgrade done due to the fact that in a year or so I may be using the truck for some towing purposes. This is a game changer for me as my transmission now has around 77000 miles. I've already changed the fluid more than once. I want to keep this transmission alive as best as possible. Thank you, Mitshmoto and American trucks for a great product.

Although this unit was a little pricey, especially compared to some of the other universal coolers I opted for this one for the ease of a more plug and play set up to replace my stock cooler. It works great! Some people saying you only lose 10 degrees aren’t looking at the bigger picture, less transmission heat dumping into the bottom end of the radiator is less heat into your coolant and everything benefits from that. But I personally love this thing, I paired it with a new intercooler and I can pull bigger hills for longer without heating up now.

Mishimoto sandwich plate

So I installed this about a week ago on my Jeep same with the transmission cooler, I’ve had zero problems with the transmission cooler, but the oil cooler was leaking from day one, it’s not leaking from any of the lines or adapters, it started leaking from both Allen key bolts on the sandwich plate. I decided to take both bolts out and go to the screw supply store near me and got bigger and longer Allen key plugs. That is what ended up fixing the leak for me but was scary because I had 3 quarts of oil leak onto my headers and almost caught fire. Please be very careful with this product.

Do not waste your money!!!

First off, I really wanted this to work, it's a beautiful piece everything goes together really nice, but 400.00 bucks for 10 degrees cooler trans temp maybe I'm expecting too much. I'll go with a bigger Hayden trans cooler and make my own mounts if I ever do this again. .
