      Description

      Building a performance vehicle is a quest for balance between opposing needs. Form vs function. Power vs weight. Strength vs lightness. Most of the time, one of those needs is more important to the build, so the other is sacrificed. But here at Mishimoto, we're done sacrificing. Thanks to our exclusive carbon fiber intercooler, you can have it all: aesthetics, performance, strength, and lightness all rolled into one innovative package. The end tanks are formed from solid 3K twill-woven carbon fiber. Carbon fiber gives our end tanks more strength than aluminum with 70% less weight. Three sizes of custom-engineered cores between the carbon fiber end tanks, combined with 3-inch inlets optimized for flow, ensure our intercooler is up to the task for builds producing up to 950 horsepower and 32 PSI of boost. The one-of-a-kind V-band core clamps hold the end tanks tight to the core under boost without the use of adhesives that can fail after repeated heat cycles. To ensure the end tanks can hold up to the rigors of road or track, they've been independently laboratory tested to SAE J400 standards for gravel impacts. With the Mishimoto carbon fiber intercooler, you don't have to sacrifice performance or strength for lightness. Carbon fiber isn't just strong, it's one of the most stunning raw materials available.       Good Buy

      Took just a bit over an hour, only due to hose clamps on the hot side not being properly aligned. Spent a good 30 minutes fighting terrible angles to access those hose clamps. Do yourself a favor and align all hose clamps on every car you own, so it's conducive to easier work. And then tell all your friends and neighbors to do the same. This unit is substantially larger than the stock one, and the cooler temps absolutely reflect it. I am not tuned, and as to be expected no "noticeable" whp gains were made. However, I AM maintaining boost FAR better. Heatsoak is practically non-existent, and I am consistently making 17psi through 5+ pulls even after an hour of driving, which is certainly the major benefit! I will update after a tune if any improvements were made.

      Good upgrade

      This was a good upgrade. Straightforward install and the video was a good reference. High quality part and most of the factory pieces fit snug. The grommets I added a small amount of grease to keep them from falling off. Very happy with this product Took hour and a half to install the only thing I had a issue with was the plastic shroud was hard to get started but once I got a corner the rest was easy

      Huge Difference!

      Super easy install probably 30mins roughly. Installed on a 2020 F150 limited. I didn’t realize my truck had no IC fan like the raptors so it made fitment even quicker. Large area for cooling excellent material, no heat soak, consistent boost. While you’re changing out the IC you might as well throw on a new BOV imo..

      Worth it

      I got the intercooler and the charge pipes, I definitely recommend getting both of them at the same time so you only have to take the bumper off once. The bumper is a pain in the ass to take off but the intercooler and pipes go pretty smoothly. You can feel an immediate difference when it drives, definitely worth it.
