Mishimoto radiator

It’s been great so far 2 weeks in it’s been about 90 outside and never gets very hot big bonus the AC is very cold but also added the Mishimoto jet thermostat car sits between 175 & 206 depending on how hard I’m on it

Larger than stock

Looks well made. No issues on install. I was actually able to line up all bolts. See pics. It does push your intake back a bit however the engine is already cramped so it doesn’t really affect much. Make sure you have proper tools to make the install easy. Took me about 4 hours. Slow and steady.

Drop engine temps from 240 to 190

Amazing but somewhat challenging to install fan shroud was a very tight fit. But all in all worth every penny

good name, bad detail

was a little disappointed that this did not specify if it was for a manual or automatic transmission. mine being automatic, i had to order a trans cooler as well. but otherwise, im happy. definitely a deal for mishimoto products.

Solid rad

93 YJ 4.0 5spd manual Fitment-identical to the OE radiator, install was straightforward, no mods needed to install it. All mounting and hose connections identical to OE rad. I did have to come up with my own plugs for the bottom transmission cooler tank. Weird, plugs are not provided but adapters are included for transmission lines; 4 couplers with 2 different size aluminum lines. Plugs are needed to prevent debris from getting into the trans oil cooler tank if it matters to you. Plastic press in plugs are included but only to prevent debris entry before use. I modified two coupler fittings; cut off the tubes, threaded the inside of the coupler nut, plugged it with a bolt and lock tight, installed the coupler nuts and properly plugged the oil tank. Quality- appears well made. I just recently installed the tank and don’t have many miles on it. Tank has lifetime warranty which is reason I purchased this one. No leaks at this time. My OE rad was leaking fluid under pressure at the top tank seals. Installation- exact fit. I changed the thermostat and hoses so this took a few hours to complete. You don’t need to remove the radiator shroud. There is enough room to r&i the new radiator with the shroud loose.

Excellent replacement

After searching for an OEM radiator thinking it was cheaper than aftermarket, I stumbled upon this. Impressed with it and quite a bit cheaper than oem. Install was fairly straightforward. Hardest part was getting the hose clamps back on. Highly recommend getting the worm gear clamps. I used regular dexcool coolant and everything has been working wonderfully. Just be careful since the radiator is a lot hotter in the top since it doesn’t have plastic on it like the oem if you decide to rest your hand on it. I’d buy this any day over oem.
