Pace Edwards JackRabbit retractable hard tonneau covers retract automatically with the turn of a knob, and close easily using a pull strap. The covers open and close without needing the key, have locking positions every 12 in., and automatically catch into each position as you pull them forward. They also have a low-profile, aerodynamic design that is 100 percent flush-mounted with textured finish rails and top cover. Featuring a clamp-in design and for easy accessibility, the handle and lock are mounted to the driver side for convenient, easy use.
Tonneau covers and truck bed covers are a good way to safely store items in your truck bed without losing the full capabilities of having a truck bed.
Keep the items in your truck bed protected by installing a retractable bed cover. A retractable truck bed cover is a nice way to increase aerodynamics and protect your belongings while still being able to maintain the original function of your truck bed.
Pace Edwards created the original retractable truck bed cover over 30 years ago. Retractable covers are easy to use, secure for your payload, and versatile for any cargo. When choosing the retractable for you, consider these unique features: Electric vs Manual operation and Metal vs ArmorTek Material.

Exactly what I was looking for!
As a project manager for a mechanical contractor, I don't need a full set of tools in my truck. I was looking for a system to keep the bed dry and secure, but usable if needed. I combined this cover with the latter rack system and it all fit perfectly. The rack is easily removed and everything meets my expectations. The canister does take up a little of the bed space, but that was expected. I will be putting this system on my next truck.

The latching slide rail failure
I bought the Pace Edwards JackRabbit Tonneau 6/20/19. After 5 months, the locking slide rail on the left side slides out as I close the cover. I have to fully open the cover & manually push the rail back in, close the tailgate & then close the cover. It is anannoying flaw. I need to know who to contact to get this problem corrected.

Second JackRabbit for me!
This is the second go around for me. The first JackRabbit I bought was in 2003 and was installed on 4 different trucks. The take up reel spring finally failed and I thought a completely new unit was in order. A few updates in the clamp down system but the design has remained primarily the same for over a decade. Easy install which took about and hour. I did look at other covers but decided that the proof was in the longevity of my experience with Pace-Edwards.

Installation hardware is mediocre quality
I bought this for a 2013 F-150 SC with a 6.5’ bed. The rail mounting hardware does not fit well on this truck bed. The clamps have come loose on several occasions so I don’t feel confident about the installation. I inspect it routinely to verify the clamps are still in place.

Wind blown cover
Install was easy with video. Overall quality I would say I am a little disappointed. When you drive down road. It shakes and wobbles at 70mph. I am also concerned about long term use with the vynal covering over top it sure doesn't seem to be able to handle years of outside storage. If I had the option to trade this one in for the all metal one I would Overall I am not all that impressed. This is my 2nd hard cover i have owned

It works and looks great.
Installation straight forward but a pain aligning the rails. Could have been a little wider to cover the bed rails stake pockets on my Ram dualley. Shimming also takes some time because the instructions are very basic and could be improved. Take your time and it will be great.

The salesman that sold me the cover was awesome and got me a great deal. All contents arrived as instructed and off to installation I went. Initially aligning the cover to the canister was the hardest part for me. Went on pretty smooth and was able to do it by myself, wifey was getting grumpy as assistant. At 75mph it handles pretty well and eliminates ANY back-drag from the air-draft. This is the second JackRabbit I have owned and I wouldn't have it any other way. MJP

Bed Cover
Between watching the video online and reading the instructions. The insulation went pretty well. The only problem I had was installing the side rails to the canister. Neither the instructions or the video mention that you need to pull the cover out a few inches before trying to feed the cover into the rail. Once I figured that out the rest of the insulation was pretty easy. The appearance of it looks really good. Just overpriced in my opinion.
