The Driveshaft Shop 5-Speed 1-Piece Aluminum driveshaft is designed to replace the factory 2-piece driveshaft, enhancing vehicle responsiveness and drivetrain durability.       Construction and Appearance. Crafted from a single-piece 6061-T6 aluminum shaft with a 3-inch diameter, this driveshaft offers strength while weighing roughly half as much as the factory unit. It features larger, replaceable, and greaseable universal joints to promote easier maintenance and longer-lasting reliability.

      Installation. Installation involves removing the existing 2-piece driveshaft and fitting the single-piece shaft in its place. Generally, no drilling or modifications are required, making installation straightforward for professionals and experienced enthusiasts.

      Application. Specifically engineered to fit 1992-2001 Subaru Impreza WRX and RS models equipped with 5-speed manual transmissions. Users should be aware that subframe and mount wear may cause driveshaft contact with the rear brace, which is not covered under warranty.
