      Solid Shifter Linkage Upgrade. The Torque Solution Solid Shifter Linkage Joint Upgrade improves the shifting precision of Subaru 5-speed transmissions produced between 1998 and 2005. This kit replaces the original non-serviceable joint with a durable, high-performance linkage joint, eliminating excessive shifter play and providing crisp, firm shifts.

      Construction and Appearance. Made from 304 stainless steel with a bronze insert, this joint offers strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. The package includes a brand-new Subaru OEM joint and necessary hardware, featuring a zinc-coated bolt and stainless steel nyloc nut for reliability and longevity.

      Installation. Moderate mechanical skill is required for installation, and no drilling is necessary. The slightly wider joint may create a tighter fit than the original, but typically the upgrade can be completed within an hour.
